Retargeting, also known as re-marketing, works by keeping track of people who visit your site and then displaying your retargeting ads to them as they visit other sites online.

Let’s say a person visits the appointment booking page on your website after clicking on a Google Ad, but doesn’t book and ends up leaving your site.

Are they lost forever?

No!

For up to three months (the legal limit) you can display banner ads to them on just about any website on the internet. Every time they see your ad, your brand gains traction and more recognition, making it more likely they will buy from you.

So what do you put on the banner ad to make them click?

1. Your logo, so they remember your brand & your value statement, which should be the same as the landing page they abandoned and will go to when they click the ad.

2. A call-to-action, like a big orange button that reads “Book Now”. And it has been proven to work.

On average marketers who use retargeting make ten dollars in sales for every dollar they spend.
